- Ingredients:
- ☆ 3 or 4 big pieces of Fresh Salmon (Note: the photo of the salmon)
- ☆ 4 Tomatoes diced
- ☆ 6 Green Onions Chopped
- ☆ 1 Medium Onion
- ☆ 1/2 cup of Crushed Ice
- ☆ 3 Pinches of Hawaiian Salt if you can get some, if not regular salt is fine

Here’s a recipe I got from our trip to Hawaii last month. We don’t have dishes like this in Japan, but I think people here will like this. It’s a Hawaiian dish called Lomi Salmon.
Here’s what you need to get started.
Now we are ready to start making Lomi Salmon. Soak the salmon in cold water for 3 hours. (note: If you are using frozen or canned salmon, you don’t need to.) Next after you are done soaking, remove the skin and the bones from the salmon.
Now cut the salmon into fine pieces. Now get a large bowl to fit everything in. Add all the ingredients into the bowl, mix with your hands and chill in the refrigerator. (note: do not add the crushed ice yet.) Before serving add the crushed ice and serve them into small bowls.
There you have it Lomi Salmon. This goes very well with rice and any meat main dishes or as an appertizer. I hope you enjoy this recipe. We will have more recipes coming soon. Have a great week.
