Good Morning Everyone, I hope everything is going great.  Today’s Japanese Cooking Recipe is a Dessert called Sweet-Red Beans Soup with Ice Cream or 黒糖ぜんざいのアイスクリームのせ in Japanese.  I like to make this when I have guest over or a special event for the family.

Ingredients:

☆ 150g Red beans

☆ 50g granules sugar

☆ 50g brown sugar

☆ 4-5 dried apricot

☆ walnuts

☆ vanilla Ice cream

Direction:

1. Rinse the red beans and soak in cold water for 4-5 hour.

2. Place the soaked beans and plenty of water in a pot, bring to the boil over high heat. When it comes to the boil, drain the beans on a sieve.

3. Pour 1.2 liter water in a pot and back the beans, and simmer over a medium low heat for about 30 min while skimming off foam, until beans are soften, Next add the granules sugar and simmer for about 15 min, then add the brown sugar and simer for about 15 min while skimming off foam. They are comes soften and thick, turn off the heat.

4. Roast the walnuts and chopped roughly. Arrange the sweet-red beans in a dish bowl, put on vanilla ice cream and dried apricot, sprinkle the walnuts.
