Carrot soup(にんじんスープ)

Good Morning Everyone, it’s another rain day and it may be a long day for me too. I got the afternoon shift at work, so I will be leaving in a bit soon. Today’s Japanese Cooking Recipe is called Carrot Soup or にんじんスープ in Japanese. A great recipe for the those cold winter days ahead, and also great when the family members is sick. Very easy to make. Enjoy.
Let’s see what we need to make our Carrot Soup.
Ingredients:
☆ 1 large carrot, cut into tinly slice
☆ 1 small tomato, cut in small cube pieces
☆ 1/2 onion, cut into thinly slice
☆ 1/2 small potato, peeled and cut into thinly slice
☆ 2 tbsp plain yogurt
☆ 1/4 tsp cumin seed
☆ 1 tsp vegetable oil or olive oil
☆ salt and pepper
Direction:
1. Place the carrot, tomato, onion and potato in a pot, add 200 cc water, olive oil and salt, and bring to the boil, when the become boil, reduce a low heat and steam-simmer with cover for about 15 min.
2. Place the ” 1 ” into a food processor, return the pot add the 200-250 cc water, and adjust season with salt and pepper.
3. Arrange the soup in a plate or bowl, pour the yogurt, and sprinkle the toasted cumin seeds.
