Konoha Donburi(木の葉丼)

Good Morning Everyone, Have a great week so far? It’s been a very quiet morning here in Japan nothing to new to report from the news. Other it’s been getting really cold now days, we finally took out the Kotatsu Table(Heating Table). Cause the kids starting to say that the house is getting cold. I think if they this back the US, this will sell very good in the winter time I think.
Well, today’s Japanese Style Cooking is called Konoha Donburi or 木の葉丼 in Japanese. This is very delicious and my hubby and kids just love this dish. Very easy to make also, I hope you enjoy this recipe.
Let’s what we need to make our Konoha Donburi, shall we.
Ingredients:
☆ 2 cups cooked rice
☆ 4 eggs
☆ 50g fish cake( KAMABOKO), cut into thinly slice
☆ 2 shiitake mushrooms, cut into thinly slice
☆ 1/2 onion, cut into thinly slice
☆ 2 green onion cut into chopped
☆ 200 cc dashi stock
☆ 1 tbsp soy sauce
☆ 1 tbsp sake
☆ 1 tbsp mirin
☆ 1 tbsp sugar
Direction:
1. Pour the dashi stock into a pan, and over a high heat, bring to the boil, add the sake, mirin, sugar, and soy sauce.
2. Add the onion, shiitake mushrooms, and fish cake, adn simmer for about 2-3 min. In a small bowl, beat egg to blend
3. Reduce the heat to a low, pour the egg in a pan, cover and cook just until egg are softly, and set 2-3 min.
4. Place the cooked rice in a bowl, top equally with egg mixture, including soup, sprinkle the green onion.
