☆Macaroni Gratin(マカロニグラタン) ☆
Good Morning Everyone, hope all is going well for you today. Looks like I got a 4 day vacation from work from today.(Yippy) I will be getting things ready for Christmas and get some of the house work done before the family come home. Kids also start their vacation from tomorrow, so I will have them give me a helping hand around the house too.
Today’s Japanese Cooking Style is called Macaroni Gratin or マカロニグラタン in Japanese. This a great recipe for the whole family to enjoy and very delicious too. There are many style to make this recipe, I mean you may add your favorite to this if you prefer to meet your taste buds. Enjoy.
Lets get ready to make our Macaroni Gratin recipe, shall we.
Direction:
1. Preheat the oven to 200℃,coat the butter a casserole dish.
2. Bring to the boil salted water in a large pot, add the macaroni and boil for 8-9 min, and drain.
3. Cut the chicken into the bite-size and cut the onion into the thinly slice.
4. Heat the butter in a frying pan, add the chicken, onion and macaroni and stir- fry and add the salt and pepper. When it cooked transfer it to casserole dish.
5. Make to white sauce; Melt butter in small sauce pan over a medium heat, add the flour and milk, stirring until thickens, stir in salt and pepper.
6. Pour over the sauce to on macaroni, and sprinkle the grated cheese on top, then bake in preheat oven for about 15min.

What cheese do you use?

I used Mozzarella cheese for this dish. You can use any type of cheese that melts great, like Cheddar cheese, Brie, or even Camembert is great. Hope that this helps out.
