☆Rice Dumplings with Mango sauce(白玉マンゴソース) ☆
Good Afternoon Everyone, its finally a sunny day here and now its time to get the laundry done. Then I got the afternoon shift at work, but it should be a slow day for me though.
Todays Japanese Cooking Style is called Rice Dumplings with Mango Sauce or 白玉マンゴソース in Japanese. This is great when you have guest over the house and they sometime want to try something different. This is very tasty and very easy to make. Enjoy
Lets see what are needed to make our Rice Dumpling with Mango Sauce, shall we.
Ingredients:
☆ 1/3 cup shiratama flour
☆ 1/2 tbsp sugar
☆ 1/3 cup water
☆ 1 mango
☆ 3-4 tbsp sugar
☆ 1 cup soy milk
☆ 1/2 cup coconut milk
☆ sweeted azuki beans
Direction:
1. In a bowl mix the shiratama ko and sugar using your hands, add the water little by little, and knead until the dough smooth, and form into small ball.
2. In a large pan, bring the water to boil, then add the rice balls and cook in small batches. When the balls rise to the surface, remove and soak in a cold water and drain well.
3. Peel the mango, slice the flesh and mash roughly with a mortar and pestle, add the sugar, soy milk and coconut milk and mix well.
4. Pour the mango sauce into a serving bowl, and add the dumplings, spoon the sweetened azuki beans on top and serve.
