Sukiyaki Donburi(すきやき丼)

Good Morning Everyone, Hows your week going so far. Things are going great this week, looking forward to the weekend. Hubby was looking around on the internet last week and I think he found a new toy “IPad”, I think he wants one and I want one to since I took a look at it last night. Very useful I think for me looking on the internet while going to work and stuff. Oh well, we will see when the release it in April here.
Well, back to the cooking. Todays Japanese Cooking Style is Called Sukiyaki Donburi or すきやき丼 in Japanese. This is great if you had leftover sukiyaki from the night before and want to eat small donburi. This a great dish to try out. Or you can make this dish as a main course meal for dinner. Easy to make and very delicious too. Enjoy
Let see what we need to make our Sukiyaki Donburi dish.
Ingredients:
☆ 1cup spring onion
☆ 2 1/4 cup shungiku
☆ 1cup shirataki
☆ 1 2/3 cups enoki mushrooms
☆ 200g sliced beef
☆ 1 1/2 tbsp mirin
☆ 1/2 sugar
☆ 1 tbsp sake
☆ 3 tbsp soy sauce
☆ 2 portion cooked rice
☆ picled ginger
Direction:
1. Cut the spring onion into diagonally pieces and chop the shungiku into 4㎝ lengths. Lightly cook the shirataki and cut into short, easy to eat pieces. Chop the bottom off the clump of enoki mush rooms, and cut the half.
2. In a prying pan, lightly cook beef and spring onion, add the mirin, sugar, sake and soy sauce, add the shirataki and enoki mushrooms and simmer for a few minutes, finally add the shungiku.
3. Serve the rice in bowl with other cooked ingredients on top, and garnish with a pickled ginger.
