☆Go-ya Burger( ゴーヤバーガー) ☆
Good Morning Everyone, Hope that you had a great weekend. Some how I knew I posted this yesterday, but it seems that it wasn’t posted when I check this morning. Very strange I think.
Well, todays Cooking Japanese Style is called Go-ya Burger or ゴーヤバーガー in Japanese. I just love eating go-ya(bitter melon) and does the kids.(Not the hubby though). I usually make this when go-ya is in season and not to expensive at the supermarket. This is very easy to make and very tasty, if you are looking for something different from your regular hamburgers. This recipe is for you. Enjoy
Lets see what we need to make our Go-ya Burger.
Ingredients:
☆ 1 goya
☆ 3-4 slice thinly pork
☆ 5 eggs
☆ 4 hambuerger buns
☆ 1/2 tsp chili pepper
☆ salt and pepper
☆ olicve oil
☆ tomato ketchup
☆ salad leaf
☆ watercress
☆ lemon
Direction:
1. Cut the goya in half lengthwise, scoop out the seeds, and slice into 3㎜ wise. sprinkle 1 tsp of salt, let stand for about 7-8 min,and soak in cold water, then rinse it and squeeze of moisture.
2. Cut the pork into bite-size pieces, put the egg in bowl, and beat, add the chili pepper.
3. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, add the goya, pork, salt and pepper, and fry briefly. pour the beaten eggs, bake for both side.
4. place the salad leaf, water cress, baked goya, on a warmed buns, garnish with ketchup and squeeze the lemon, and sand with other buns.
