Good Afternoon everyone, hope that all your week is going great. It’s finally getting warmer here in Japan and soon the Sakura Flowers will be blooming near our place. The kids are looking forward to that as they are on Spring Vacation now.
Well, back to the cooking. Today Cooking Japanese Style is called Hot Salad or 温野菜サラダ in Japanese. This is a very delicious and healthy dish. Recently the hubby has gone back on a diet program for a month to see if he can lose about 10kgs. He tried the same diet program last year for 2 months and lost 15kgs, but he rebounded 8kgs after that. This dish is one of the meals I make for him on his diet program. I hope you enjoy this recipe.
Lets see what ingredients we need to make our Hot Salad.
Direction:
1. Cut off the tip of calyx of kidney beans, peel the carrot and cut into 3 ㎝ wide pieces, cut the cauliflower and broccoli into bite- size piece.
2. Place the water in a large pot, and bring to the boil, then, add the pinch of salt. Boil the morocco kidney, kidney beans, and carrot for 2 min, next add the cauliflower and broccoli , and boiling for about 3min, and drain, continue boil the prawn for red color.
3. Place every vegetables and prawn in a large bowl, add the sesame oil, salt and pepper and mixing well.

When it was coined hot salad I thought it was more along the terms of being spicy. I don’t like to eat salad in general because it feels like I am a rabbit eating leaves and such.
