Pain Perdu with Strawberry Compote(パンペルデュとイチゴのコンポート)
Good Afternoon Everyone, Hope that you are having a great Thursday. Its a great sunny day here and I’m getting ready for work soon. I’m working on another Free eBook at the moment, with my drawing pictures. It should be ready with in the next couple weeks, as I’m finalizing the content part with the hubby.
Well, todays Cooking Japanese Style is called Pain Perdu with Strawberry Compote or パンペルデュとイチゴのコンポート in Japanese. This is one of my favorite as I just love my strawberries when they are in season here in Japan. They are a little expensive, but they are very fat and juicy. This is very easy to make and I hope you enjoy this recipe.
Lets see what we need to make our Pain Perdu with Strawberry Compote.
Direction:
1. Place the strawberries, frash orange juice and granules sugar, let stand until melted sugar.
2. Place the pan over medium heat, gently stirring- simmer, when it become tender, and strawberry color, turn off the heat, let stand cool.
3. Put the ingredients of “A ” in a bowl, add the bread, let stand for 5-10min. then, make to pain perdu ( French Toast)
4. Arrange the PainPerdu( French Toast),and pour over the Compote and maple syrup.

Wow, that is very yummy I love it! I love anything with strawberries and I think this one is my kind of recipe. I have to say it is unique and I have never heard of anything like this before.
