☆Roast Beef(ローストビーフ) ☆

Konnichiwa and Hello everyone.  It’s a beautiful weekend here and a bit chilly here.  We are just cleaning around the house and getting ready for our forth cooking video later this evening.  So I’m really excited to see how it turns out after.

Today on Cooking Japanese Style is a recipe called Roast Beef or ローストビーフ in Japanese.  I have made this once in awhile for the family, as some may know the meat are very expensive here in Japan.  So we usually wait for one of our friends who works in one of the major supermarkets in Japan, to tell us when they have a really good sale on meats and thats when we buy a lot.  This is a very delicious recipe and the family will love it, cause it’s meat.lol Enjoy

Lets see what ingredient we need to make our Roast Beef recipe.

Direction:

1. First we need to rub the coarse salt and pepper to beef  and let sit for 10 min. Then cut the onion and carrot into thinly slice.

2. Now heat the oil in a thick heavy pot,  bake the beef until the whole outside is brown.  Next add the crushed garlic, onion, carrot, and thyme.  Then steam bake with cover lid, over a low heat.  Until moisture comes out from vegetables and it becomes an amber color and it roast so that may become medium rare.

3. When this is done take out the beef from pot and fry the vegetables more.  Make sure to add enough water to the pot and  simmer for about 6-7 min.(remove the garlic from the pot)

4. While waiting for that to be done grind the horseradish, wash the watercress and drain.

5. We are almost done here, next slice the roast beef and arrange it on a dish.  Now for the finishing, garnish with watercress, horseradish and gravy sauce.
