• Ingredients:
  • ☆ 1 sheet chicken thight
  • ☆ 3 tbsp sake
  • ☆ pepper
  • ☆ water
  • ☆ 1 onion
  • ☆ 3 yanaka-ginger (YANAKA GINGER:The leaf sheath. Little finger when it is beginning to grow large enough, leaving the ship leaves. Becomes bright red variety from the stem, only in summer hit.)
  • ☆ 1 myo-ga
  • ☆ 1cup boiled edamame
  • ☆ 100g macaroni
  • ☆ pepper
  • For Japanese-style Dressing:
  • ☆ 1 tbsp vinegar
  • ☆ 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ☆ 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ☆ salt

☆Chicken Macaroni Salad(チキンマカロニサラダ) ☆

Good Morning Everyone, another week has gone by and only one more until we have “Golden Week” holiday here in Japan.  We have nothing much planned for this year, but we may go to the Jazz Festival in Takatsuki with the whole family and enjoy some great music.

Well, on Cooking Japanese Style we have a recipe called Chicken Macaroni Salad or チキンマカロニサラダ in Japanese.  This is a great salad that goes really well with meat dish as a main course.  This is also very easy to make and health for the body. Enjoy

Lets see what ingredients we need to make our Chicken Macaroni Salad.

Direction:

1. Pour the water (enough water so that the chicken is completely) ,in a pot,  add the sake and pepper, and boiling. Place the chicken into a pot, and boil the chicken, when it boiled, let stand cool.

2. Cut the onion into thinly slice, rinse in cold water, drain and squeeze and out the moisture, cut the yanaka-ginger and myoga into the thinly mince, rinse in cold water, drain and squeeze and out the moisture.

3. Boil the macaroni, and soak the cold water and drain well.

4. Cut the chicken into thinly slice, Combine the ingredients of japanese- style dressing.

5. Place the chicken, macaroni onon, yanaka-ginger, myoga, and boiled edamame in a bowl, add the dressing and pepper mix well. Arrange it in a dish and serve.
