Cabbage and Egg Croquette(キャベツと卵のコロッケ)

☆Cabbage and Egg Croquette(キャベツと卵のコロッケ) ☆

Good Morning Everyone, Its a very sunny day today here in Japan.  I think we will do some shopping later this afternoon for tonight dinner and for our new video for our Youtube Channel.  I have to apologize, for this weeks video.  Hubby’s computer is working a little slow he says, It think it’s him.  He will have this weeks video up in a couple hours.(Sorry for that).

Today on Cooking Japanese Style we have a recipe called Cabbage and Egg Croquette or キャベツと卵のコロッケ in Japanese.  I tried this a while back and it turned out pretty good and it was very delicious too.  This is very easy to make for the family. Enjoy

Lets see what we need to make our Cabbage and Egg Croquette Recipe.

Ingredients:

☆ 100g cabbage

☆ 1 potato

☆ 2 hard boiled eggs

☆ salt and peper

☆ flour

☆ beaten egg

☆ bread crubms

☆ oil for deep-frying

Direction:

1. Cut the cabbage into roughly mince, and microwave on 1 min, let stand cool and squeeze out the moisture.

2. Wash the potato, wrap with plastic wrap and microwave on 3-4 min, peel while they are hot, and them mash.

3. Combine the cabbage and potato, and add the hard boiled egg, salt and pepper, mix well.

4. Shape into balls, ( If you it is hard for shape, add the 1 or 2 table spoons mayonnaise) Coat the flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs. Deep -fry at 170℃ until crispy.

5. Serve with petit tomato and cut lemon.

This Recipes Serves 2 people. There you have it.     what kind of oil did you use and what kind of potato ?

  2. I really didn’t notice that there is cabbage in it. I rarely eat cabbage but I would love to try this one :) I really think that it will taste good. I can’t wait to try it! Thanks for sharing!
