☆Beef with Burdock(肉ごぼう) ☆

Good Morning Everyone, hope that your week is going great so far.  Well the hubby has come down with a cold and I hope he doesn’t pass it on to the rest of the family.lol

Well, today on Cooking Japanese Cooking Style we have a recipe called Beef with Burdock or 肉ごぼう in Japanese.  This is a very delicious recipe for the family to enjoy for dinner.  Very easy to make on those lazy weekend you don’t want to make something so big for the family. Enjoy

Lets see what we need to make our Beef with Burdock recipe.

Ingredients:

☆ 200g sliced beef

☆ 2 small size burdock

☆ 1 cake devil’s tongue

☆ 3 tbsp vegetable oil

☆ green onion, cut into edge cut.

☆ 1 cup dashi stock

☆ 4 tbsp sake

☆ 4 tbsp sugar

☆ 4 tbsp mirin

☆ 4 tbsp soy sauce

Direction:

1. Scrape off the skin of the burdock, and cut into diagonal cut. Then rinse in cold water and drain. Boil the devil’s tongue and briefly and break it with a your hand into random sized pieces.

2. Heat  the oil in a frying pan. Add the beef and fry. When it become to turn color, add the bur dock and devil’s tongue in this order  over a low heat.

3. When the everything is through the heat, add the dashi stock, sake, sugar, mirin and soy sauce. And toss quickly.

4. Serve with sprinkle the green onion.

This recipe Serves 4 people. There you have it.
