• Ingredients:
  • ☆ 2 cups of rice
  • ☆ 300g of chestnuts (kuri)
  • A
  • ☆ 1 1/2 cup of water
  • ☆ 1 tbsp of mirin
  • ☆ 1 pinch of salt
  • B
  • ☆ 1 tbsp of mirin
  • ☆ 1 tbsp of Japanese sake
  • ☆ 1/2 tsp of salt
  • ☆ water
  • ☆ black roosted sesame seeds

☆Takikomi Gohan Meals: Kuri Gohan (栗ご飯)☆

Directions:

1. Wash the rice for 30 min before cooking.

2. Boil the chestnuts for 2-3 min. then peel and cut in half ( if large size…)

3. Put the water, mirin, salt and chestnuts into a large pot and boil for about 5 min and take off the scum then Drain.

4. Put the rice, mirin, sake, salt and water for 2 scale line in a rice cooker.  Add the chestnuts and cook as usual.  Arrange then on a plate or rice bowl, sprinkle the black sesame to your taste.
