Banana Crumble (バナナクランブル)

Good Afternoon Everyone..  I’m a little bit of a rush today, I will post this now and add more comments for this recipe when I get home from work.  Have a great day, see you all later..

Ingredients:
☆ 150g flour
☆ 100 butter( should be softened)
☆ 80g granules sugar
☆ 30g sliced almond
☆ 20 dried blueberries
☆ 2 bananas( cut into roughly bite size)

Direction:

1. Place the butter in a bowl, knead until soften with wooden spoon, add the sugar and mix well, add sifted flour, and knead gently.

2. Mould dough into a ball, crush with your hands, and add the sliced almond and blueberry and mixing.

3. Preheat the oven to 190℃, line the oven sheet with bake dish, and put the bananas, and dough on top of bananas. Bake for about 20 min.

Coconut Steam Bread (ココナッツの蒸しパン)

Good Afternoon Everyone, hope that things are going good today.  Looks like I got the day off today, going to get some house cleaning done as well as what to make for dinner tonight.  I think I need to go to the Supermarket later, after I make my shopping list.

Well, back to the Cooking.  Todays Cooking Japanese Style Recipe is called Coconut Steam Bread or ココナッツの蒸しパン in Japanese.  This is great recipe for when you have guest over the house.  I sometime make this in the Spring time when my daughter has her friends over after school.  They just enjoy having this when they come.  Very easy to make and delicious too. Enjoy

Let see what we need to make our Coconut Steam Bread.

Ingredients:
☆ 200g flour
☆ 1 tbsp baking powder
☆ 6 eggs
☆ 160g sugar
☆ 150ml milk
☆ 50g coconut powder
☆ 2 tbsp gignger juice
☆ 2 tbsp honey

Direction:

1. Combine the flour and baking power, and sift it into a bowl.

2. place the egg and sugar in an another bowl, mix well, add the milk, mix again

.3. Add the half of “2″ into flour, and mix well, add another half, mix well again, and add the coconut powder.

4. Pour the mixture over paper cup, dividing 80%, place the cup in a steamer and steam for about 15-20 min.

5. Serve with the honey added ginger juice.

White chocolate cake
(ホワイトチョコケーキ)

Good Afternoon Everyone, Hope that your having a great weekend. Its still freezing here and we are going to stay indoors today, the kids want to go to Kyoto which is the next city to us.  Cause its snowing there alot now, but the hubby has to get some things done today.  So we are staying home, I really don’t like the cold weather.lol

Well back to the cooking.  Todays Japanese Cooking Style is called White Chocolate Cake or ホワイトチョコケーキ in Japanese.  This is a very delicious cake to try on those special time with the family.  We don’t have an over so I usually go to the neighbors house next door to use there over.  I wish we had an oven.  Well, this is very easy to make with the kids. Enjoy

Lets see what ingredients we need to make our White Chocolate Cake.

Ingredients:
☆ 1/4 cup white chocolate, leave in the fridge until ready to use.
☆ 1 cup flour
☆ 3 eggs
☆ 1/4 cup sugar
☆ 3/4 cup whipping cream
☆ 2 tbsp sugar
☆ blueberry, mint leaves powder sugar

Direction:
1. Preheat the oven to 175℃. Line the pan with wax paper, take the chocolate from the fridge and grate it using a cheese grater.

2. Sift the flour into a bow, beat the egg then add the sugar, whisk until it stands in peaks. Stir in half the flour and chocolate mixture,then add the remaining flour to the bowl and lightly mix some more.

3. Transfer the mixture to the cake pan, tapping the pan on the work surface a few times to remove any air. Bake in the oven for about 20 min.

4. When it the cooked, remove form the oven and pan, place on a rack and leave to cool, and wrap in plastic film and leave to cool( keeps it from drying out)

5. Ina bowl, mix the cream and sugar then whisk until soft peaks are formed, spread the cream mixture on top of the cake, decorate with blueberries and mint leaves, and sift powder sugar over the top.

Use a 8 × 8 ×2 inch square baking pan or 7 inch diameter round pan.
